A Pretty Picture, Perhaps

I'm afraid this post is another one with a pretty picture and little point. But forgive me: I rather liked this image of a "hovering" Pine Warbler obtained in today's BirdCam photography run. It's not often that I obtain shots showing the wings in the stereotypical "angelic" posture, and I continue to marvel that the BirdCam is capable of capturing such photos. It didn't hurt that the plumage on the Pine Warbler varies enough between the body yellows and wing olive drab to enhance that angelic glow. So berate me if you must: one must celebrate a pretty picture every now and then.
