Peanuthead

I've noticed an interesting development when I use BirdCam to photograph at the peanut feeder. And that is that this juvenile Red Bellied Woodpecker is far and away the #1 consumer of peanuts among all comers. For example, in pictures taken September 3rd and 4th this bird showed up in 78 of 118 cases (66%), more than for all other visitors combined (46 photos). Even the Brown Headed Nuthatch, a known peanut lover is a distant 3rd! In my mind that suggests a name for my juvenile RBW. And that would be "Peanuthead." This little guy has set a standard, and we'll be watching him as the cold weather sets in.
