All Quiet Out Front (and Back)

It is not unexpected, but it is very quiet out there these days. Seed and suet are hardly moving (a good thing if we think in terms of dollars!), the BirdCam only slowly ticks off pictures even at the busiest feeders. You know, there is something strange about November... It is even odd to see a cardinal, or Mourning Dove, or a bluebird. These high season regulars seem to come out infrequently. No doubt the last of nature's rich harvest is being picked off trees and weeds. Sometime mid to late next month things will pick up again. For now, we can only experience the stillness of autumn.
