Chickadees, Titmice and Wrens, Oh My!

Affairs have gotten quite quiet out back at the main feeder tree. Some of this is due to the lull of fall, when seed consumption craters and as young disperse. Some of it is a function of lower species counts between outgoing summer birds and the winter guests. And some, I think, to my spreading feeders out to three corners of the house over time. The bird density is lowered...good for them at least. And nowadays I see a handful of usual suspects: wrens, chickadees, titmice, the occasional bluebird and woodpecker. And maybe a cardinal and Mourning Dove. Not a lot of excitement yet: but a chance to appreciate the little birds at their relaxed best.

That's about what I have for feeder birds. Did have a Mockinigbird in the birdbath, today.
