Winter Lineup: Eastern Bluebird

I would not say that winter is the most exciting time to watch Eastern Bluebirds at our feeders, but it's good enough.  I have much more fun observing their doings when young are raised.  Nowadays the family group has dispersed and the remaining birds don't come to the suet baskets nearly as often.  And for whatever reason, they don't seem nearly as colorful.  It must be that blue matches so much better with greenery than the dingier winter colors.  What matters is that they're around and still show interest in the attractions here.  The exciting times are not far away.
