Not Hummer Time, Yet

The nectar feeders are up, and filled, but in a lot of ways that's optimistic thinking.  Around here, the common wisdom is that hummingbird feeders should be up around April 1st.  And indeed, hummingbird sightings have been made in these parts.  But the real clock seems to be how the Trumpet Vine is responding.  I'm accustomed to seeing flowers at the same time our residents arrive for the summer.  As one can see, there are no flowers.  And if anything, vegetation is running 1-2 weeks ahead of schedule this year.  So I may be a few weeks off course.  However, it never hurts to be prepared.  The wait continues...
