Time For Winter Food

The cool times are finally upon us after a long summer drama.  And here at Cary Bird Cam, that means it is time for the cool season foods!  The peanut butter and peanut piece feeders have been installed.  I found these really only work out in the winter: summer for whatever reason doesn't make for a sell in the bird community.  I am delighted to get these up because the viewing at the feeders is so interesting.  The birds that respond go nuts (no pun here) for the stuff: nuthatches, Yellow Rumped Warblers, bluebirds, chickadees, wrens... the list goes on and on.  And so the first step has been taken in the direction of winter.  Deicers come out soon...
