It's good work if you can get it

Have the House Finches been eating well?  why yes! thanks for asking!  My heavens, it must be a hard job draining those sunflower and safflower seed feeders.  But the finches are nothing if persistent and work at that assignment from sunrise to sunset.  They do the job well.  They can clean out three pounds' of seed in two or three days.  Not bad for little whisps of feathers.  Tough work, but it is good work if you can get it.  And, as Gershwin noted, you can get if you try.  Gee finches, thanks so much for your efforts.  (sigh)
