After
losing a Pine Warbler last month I was concerned that I might have lost all resident Pine Warblers. It is difficult with some species to know how many birds may be present, and I have never seen more than one Pine Warbler at one time. But I definitely have at least one more. Yesterday's photography picked up a Pine Warbler at my hanging platform feeder (safflower seed and suet nuggets.) The local territory is especially good Pine Warbler territory, so the logic would be that eventually a family group would discover my feeders and visit at whatever frequency is typical for these birds. And this bird feeder has plenty of good options for them! I am well pleased to see a Pine Warbler back and look forward to seeing them through the winter.
